Full Moon in Gemini 11/12 December 2019 - confusion and crisis

The Full Moon this month occurs either on Tuesday 11 November or Wednesday 12 November 2019 depending on where you live, with the Moon at 19°51′ Gemini and the Sun opposite at 19°51′ Sagittarius, which is exact at 4:12 pm on Wednesday 12 November 2019 in Sydney, Australia (see chart below).

In Los Angeles it is exact on 11 December at 09:12 pm, in New York on 12 December at 00:12 am, and in London on 12 December at 5:12 am (day of the UK general election).

The Full Moon is a culmination, completion and closure phase. In this case it is time to bring to fruition the past 6 months as we enter a new phase with the New Moon Solar Eclipse occurring in Capricorn on 26 December 2019, ushering in the next eclipse season.

Have a look at what house axis (below) the Full Moon falls in to see where there may need to be an ending, or what may be coming to fruition for you.

The sign of Gemini:

Gemini has a Mutable quality or mode. The Mutable modality signifies the end of the seasons, when the weather is more in flux. The Mutable energy represents flexibility, versatility and changeability. Gemini is also associated with the Air element concerning the rational mind, sharing ideas, knowledge, communication, logic and speech. Some keywords for Gemini include: intellectual, networking, quick-witted and adaptable. Geminis traits include avid talking, have strong mental abilities and enjoying social interactions with others. Curiosity is a big feature – collecting many pieces of information and generally knowing lots of things about lots of things!

The sign of Sagittarius:

Sagittarius is also a Mutable sign, so imagine the need to be on the move in some way, either physically or mentally. Sagittarius is also one of the signs which is associated with the Fire element concerning enthusiasm, inspiration, warmth, passion and intuition. Some keywords for Sagittarius include: adventurous, freedom-loving, philosophical, outgoing and restless. Sagittarian traits include being exuberant, open-minded, having an interest in higher learning, and being visionary explorers seeking meaning, growth and improvement, focusing on the future and broadening horizons through journeys.

Both signs concern information. The inquiring mind of Gemini curiously gathers the data while Sagittarius takes the information and expands our world view by including it in a philosophy or belief system so that it can be understood. At this Full Moon, we can therefore seek to integrate the quick-minded, quick-talking, data gathering and processing of Gemini, operating at a surface level, with the broader, deeper, Sagittarian view of life which has a philosophical underpinning.

Chart ruler Mercury

Mercury, ruler of Gemini, is in the sign of Sagittarius (in Detriment), and inconjunct Uranus in Taurus, where we can be impulsive in our speech, progressive and intellectual in our thinking, and have intuitive flashes regarding the truth. The key here is to adjust our thoughts and beliefs by directing them without scattering our mental focus.

Neptune square Sun and Moon

Nebulous planet Neptune in Pisces is forming a T-square aspect to the Sun and Moon at the time of this Full Moon. This energy can confuse and cloud our thoughts and feelings, or we may feel connected to the divine, transcending this mundane reality, its boundaries and the ‘rational’ mind. Take time to commune with a higher being, meditate, let go of the ego self and feel inspired.

Moon inconjunct triple conjunction of Venus, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn

As the epochal Saturn Pluto conjunction approaches its perfection on 11/12 January 2020 at 22°46′ Capricorn, lady love Venus currently joins this pair, which involve the restructure of authority (Saturn), and destruction and reform (Pluto).

The Moon in Gemini forms an inconjunct with Venus (love, values and money), Saturn (limits and restrictions) and transformative Pluto (regeneration, death and rebirth). Emotional adjustments may need to made where there are escalating issues in relationships, our value system, or when dealing with finances. Relationships can cool and/or have a reality check, or they may end altogether.
