Mars goes direct 27/28 August 2018 – take initiative
Mars, the fiery “Warrior planet” ruling assertion, passion, will, drive, daring, being pioneering and courageous has been in retrograde motion since 26 June 2018, which started at 09°13′ of society-oriented Aquarius.
If you feel as though things have slowed down, plans have been frustrated, stalled or stopped altogether, nothing has been moving in the right direction, or you’ve been in a holding pattern, reassessing your actions and working out your next move over the past couple of months, then things are about to change. The time for pausing is over.
Mars has now stationed (appeared to stand still in the sky), to resume his direct motion at 28°36′ of Earthy, realistic Capricorn, incidentally the sign where Mars is Exalted. This means the energy of Mars can be used well when structured and ordered in the sign of organised and controlled Capricorn. We can now expend our energy working towards achieving practical goals in the material world in a responsible way.
The energy will shift again when Mars enters Aquarius on 11 September 2018, and the focus moves towards putting effort into social networks, our community, and into mental and intellectual pursuits. Stand back and examine these areas objectively from a detached stance; Aquarius is an Air sign, representing our mental functions and the rational mind.
The only fly in the ointment is that Mars in Aquarius will move into a tense square aspect with revolutionary Uranus in Taurus for the third time this year on 19 September 2018, emphasising destabilisation, breakdowns and breakthroughs, sudden and unexpected separations, disruptions, impulsive reactions and wanting freedom and independence to do our own thing.
